World Record Plus-Size Photoshoot

Plus-size clothing brand, Scarlett & Jo will host a world record photoshoot of over 100 plus-size women at Bankside, London Bridge on Saturday 23 April. The brand, opened a Member’s Modelling Competition to 20,000 followers on Facebook, to find the faces of Scarlett & Jo, in association with Ms Curvaceous UK. In line with the brands ethos, to celebrate "All curvy women” all of the women will then be featured on the website, modelling the Scarlett & Jo brand.

 

 

The competition received such an overwhelming positive response that the competition had to close after 2 days having received over 200 applicants. As a result of this passionate attitude towards the brand, every applicant was invited to take part in the shoot. Travelling from Europe and across the UK, representing women between the ages of 17 to 40+ with sizes 14 to 32 and from 4’10” to 6’3” - this is set to be the most inclusive fashion shoot. Three of the girls will also be lucky enough to win the Face of Curvy Petite, The Face of Curvy Tall, and finally The Face of Scarlett and Jo. These winners will be regularly featured throughout campaigns and on the website in promotion of the brand throughout the year. Alongside this prize, Ms Curvaceous UK have organised a national competition to become the new Ms C UK 2016 and The Face of Scarlett & Jo winner, will be automatically entered into the semi-final stage.

 

 

Meeting the needs of all sizes, including women who are plus size and Petite or Tall, Scarlett & Jo have recently launched Curvy Tall, Curvy Petite, Curvy Bridal and Curvy Couture lines. The Bridal collection consists of dresses that are just below the knee, prom and lacy to draped and floor-length. The newest collection Curvy Couture is online from May onwards and has been designed to make the larger lady feel sexy and elegant in luxury fabrics creating flattering silhouettes for every height, shape and size.

 

 

The Scarlett & Jo ethos has always been to make real clothing for real woman, the brand believes a woman should feel body-confident and comfortable whatever her size. Gifi Fields, founder of Scarlett & Jo believes women use clothing as an extension of their personality and created Scarlett & Jo for plus size women to feel girly, feminine, sexy and confident. Gifi Fields commented; “I am extremely passionate about body confidence and feel every woman deserves the right to express themselves through clothing. This will be the largest plus size photo-shoot ever organised, in fact the largest fashion shoot ever staged in Europe in terms of number. I can’t wait to see over 100 fun and fearless ladies bringing our dresses to life, it’s a very exciting time for us.”

 

 

Each of these ladies will be treated as a VIP for the day at the Scarlett & Jo head office in London Bridge for make-up and styling across two outfits. Taking part in production and lifestyle shots both individually and in groups and then finally a whole group shot over at Bankside, London Bridge for a photo-call at 1pm. Scarlett & Jo are sure to be ahead of the curve, making this the largest plus size photo-shoot organised worldwide.

Gifi Fields will be available for interviews before and during the day on the 23rd April.
