Petite styles are cut specifically for shorter frames — proportions are adjusted throughout the garment, not simply hemmed shorter. The exact length for each style is listed on the individual product page.
Yes, our garments are designed specifically for curves and are true to UK sizing. We use proprietary Advanced Fit Technology® to ensure our dresses flatter and support without the need to size up.
What sizes do you stock?
We cater exclusively for curves, stocking UK sizes 12 through to 32.
Do you offer exchanges if the size isn't right?
Yes. If your item doesn't fit perfectly, you can exchange it for a different size free of charge. Simply use the prepaid Royal Mail returns label included in your parcel and tick the Exchange box on your returns form.
Do you offer petite sizing?
Yes. Scarlett & Jo has an extensive range of standard fit dresses alongside a recently launched Curvy Petite collection. Petite styles are cut specifically for shorter frames, with proportions adjusted throughout the garment rather than simply hemmed shorter. Not all styles are available in petite — browse the Curvy Petite collection to see the full range.

Very pleased with this dress. The length is just right and it will be used for my cruise or any other special event that comes up. Lovely summer print .

I placed my first order last week as my friend has several Scarlett & Jo dresses and recommended them to me.
However, I received my Tilly dress today and hung it up to try on later, only to discover that one sleeve is not finished off properly. There is a gap in the overlocked edge and the loose threads look awful. I just tried it on to see how it looked and my husband then noticed a bunch of stitching hanging outside the side seam as well.
I am so disappointed as this dress looks fabulous on the website, but this should never have passed a quality control inspection. Such shoddy workmanship and never worth £90.
Item returned as faulty because nobody bothered to reply to my email.
Store owner replied:
Hi Rosey, we apologise for this. We have refunded you fully for this and will be making sure this doesn’t happen again.
I was unsure about the length of this style of dress, being a short 5’2”. I used the chat feature for advice and decided to go for it… I’m so glad I did - I absolutely love it and can’t wait to wear it for my niece’s wedding next week! 3 dresses now and counting…

I loved this dress and bought it. It wasn't my first choice but it was the best of the 4 I tried. With 1.5" heels the length was perfect for me at 5'2 height. It's comfortable to wear and skims over my bumpy bits.
I wanted a second dress for a wedding as it looked like the weather would be hotter than expected. I saw this dress (and many others on the site!) and thought I would give it a go. The pictures the other ladies posted gave me real hope... You all look amazing!!! Anyway, I am tall with very broad shoulders and big busted. The sleeves were level with my bust which made my chest look even wider. There are also shoulder pads (but I would have removed these). Going braless is NOT option so my large, sturdy bra showed through the mesh (but not enough to ruin the look) so I found it looked a little matronly. I decided to return it. BUT... the material is nicer than I expected; quite soft. Very swishy which gave it a lovely feminine style. I paired it with a killer pair of heels and from the knees down looked sensational!! I would recommend!
I bought this dress to wear at a formal night on a cruise that I'm going on. I can't wear sleeveless dresses as I am uncomfortable with the tops of my arms, so this dress looked perfect. When I got it I couldn't believe how nice it looked, I actually have a figure (who knew!). I love the dipped hem and the way that the lining gives a sweetheart effect over the bust is really nice. I will be very happy to wear it on the cruise.

It's an outside reception in a marquee so I'm delighted that the dress is light and floaty.
Lovely pattern, shape and fit (would of preferred 1 size down, but out of stock, so got the next size up). Going to wear it to the Races and a wedding - can't wait!
Lovely dess. Could have done with being a bit brighter, but with the fit being spot on and a nice long length for my height, I'm very happy. Intending to take it on holiday in the summer to wear in the evening.
Beautiful fitting dress, very flattering in all areas. Bought to eat to a wedding but now ordered a different colour but can’t bring myself to return so going to keep both as I love it that much.
