A 1940's inspired dress featuring gorgeous wrap neck line with ties. This beautifully tailored dress is mid calf length with details within the silhouette to flatter your figure. This is a really flattering dress shaped in a beautiful super soft silky smooth POWERFIT® flowing jersey. The print is divine, and moves much in keeping with the silhouette. Perfect for day or night, any time of year! Features include ties at wrap neck, gathered shoulder yoke, detachable shoulder pads, set in 3/4 length sleeves, tie waist band, and full swishy skirt.

This is a lovely dress. It feels so soft and it looks really nice. The pattern is very different from dresses I usually wear but I’m delighted I took the plunge and ordered it. It’s the type of dress that is suitable for all occasions and seasons and will look great with sandals, shoes or boots. I’m sure I’ll get a lot of wear out of it.

Multi '1940s' Tie and Wrap Dress

I love this (and the dark green wrap version) - I wear it a lot! Both are very flattering and comfortable. I have narrow shoulders and so tie the neck quite tight, bringing the shoulders in so they still fit well even in the larger size needed for my bust. Both dresses are almost ankle length on me (I'm 5'4") but some of that is possibly because having to get a larger size for my bust increases the amount of skirt material (S&J - please make more boob room, like your older styles, especially as we no longer have Bravissimo clothing! I always end up removing shoulder pads to give me a tad more room but often that's not enough) In cooler weather I wear it with ankle boots and a jumper/cardi - the flower print gives you a lot of colour options! As well as black I wear hot pink or lilac with it. (S&J - I'd like to see long sleeves on Winter/Autumn styles - I can't really fit a (tight) jumper under the dress so wearing one over the dress does unfortunately cover up the lovely shape it gives!)

This is the third of this style of dress I have bought. They are each really useful day dresses, a perfect length and suitable for anything from casual to smart situations. I find they are long enough to get away without tights in the summer without feeling uncomfortable. A brilliant useful frocksy.

Multi '1940s' Tie and Wrap Dress

Great transitional dress - I bought it for Autumn/Spring wear, when I wear it with ankle boots. Very pretty colours against the black. It's a lovely soft, peachy-feel jersey. I'm 5'4" and it's maxi length on me (could do with being a few inches shorter) I bought an 18 to fit my boobs in* and so there's lots of material in the skirt, maybe that's why it's so long. *I find these sort of styles very short-waisted (and I'm short-waisted myself!) but a high waist is generally more flattering on larger figures. I have the similar wrap/tie dress in green floral, also in an 18, and also too long really, and I love that too! Wished I'd bought the similar one in blue floral as now it's out of stock!
