Petite styles are cut specifically for shorter frames — proportions are adjusted throughout the garment, not simply hemmed shorter. The exact length for each style is listed on the individual product page.
Yes, our garments are designed specifically for curves and are true to UK sizing. We use proprietary Advanced Fit Technology® to ensure our dresses flatter and support without the need to size up.
What sizes do you stock?
We cater exclusively for curves, stocking UK sizes 12 through to 32.
Do you offer exchanges if the size isn't right?
Yes. If your item doesn't fit perfectly, you can exchange it for a different size free of charge. Simply use the prepaid Royal Mail returns label included in your parcel and tick the Exchange box on your returns form.

Yes. Scarlett & Jo has an extensive range of standard fit dresses alongside a recently launched Curvy Petite collection. Petite styles are cut specifically for shorter frames, with proportions adjusted throughout the garment rather than simply hemmed shorter. lovely well fitting dress.coverage on arms good,and looks intentional, rather than to cover up. nice legnth for a maxi, and can be dressed up or down. size down if between sizes,although I would guess sizes are very forgiving. A breeze to put on and off if you are on your own...no back zips!
I was a little sceptical at first but I checked lots of reviews and finally decided to take the risk and buy a dress for a wedding I was attending. I chose a couple of different colours but couldn't decide of sizing as some reviews suggested going up a size, some keeping usual size, so I ordered one of each size.
When they arrived I didn't feel confident that they would be for me but after trying on, firstly my usual size in a dusky purple colour , I absolutely loved it. I tried the size up one, this one in the blue & yellow colour, and loved it even more. It was slightly a more comfortable fit and I loved the colours. My only criticism is that it was too long and I had to scoop it up a little so as not to tread on it and trip up. Other than that, I felt good and was so surprised looking in the mirror as didn't expect it to suit me. I had so many compliments too, which was lovely.
I definitely plan to buy another, but need a occasion to wear it at.
This is my 6th S&J purchase, it’s a style I feel comfortable in and has become my go to for special occasions. I particularly loved the colours in this dress. Worn for a wedding recently and teamed up with matching hatinator. I already had the shoes and bag from a previous occasion.

I didn’t lose any but the dress was a perfect fit. Loved the magic waistband and felt so comfortable in the dress. It's so nice when you find a plus size dress in bright vibrant colours. Having the little sleeves is perfect for covering up those bingo wings. I wore this dress to the races (ladies day) and revieved many positive comments. It is so flattering and perfect for any special occasion

Such a beautiful dress. Great quality but unfortunately I did return it as it did not suit me for my occasion. So comfortable and a great fit - just a bit too much for my age and the occasion i was going to. Fantastic service, delivery and so easy to return. Hugely disappointed but would buy again if I find somewhere to wear it!!

I bought this dress in desperation at 2:30 am 4 days before my son’s wedding as the outfit I had made was a disaster! It arrived promptly together with a load more parcels. I then went through the motions of trying on dresses. I am NOT a dress lady so this process was as stressful as ordering!! As soon as I put the dress on it felt right and I loved the fit. It has stretch as well and we all like a little stretch at a certain age and the fabric moved beautifully when you walked. There are no zips, buttons or fiddly bits in sight on this dress, you just put it over your head and you are done! It made me feel like a mother of the groom which was my aim and I received many compliments. I teamed the dress with a lime green jacket and hat and it was a perfect combination.
Having stumbled upon your site in my stressful sleepless night I will definitely, use your company again and I have already recommended you.

I bought this to wear to my Daughters wedding. Sadly I had to send it back because of a fault. I asked for a replacement ASAP but they refunded. I then had to reorder and pay another Postage and packaging 🙄 just keeping fingers crossed all ok with the new one as wedding is now only 2 weeks away and it needs to be taken up.
Tried on this beautiful dress ,it arrived today,it is beautiful and made me feel that way,when your older it's harder to feel beautiful when your a larger size and also an older age,but this dress is special,stretchy and makes you feel that the fit is no problem ,thank you so much
