Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape measure horizontal.
Waist: Measure around your natural waistline (the narrowest part of your torso), keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Petite styles are cut specifically for shorter frames — proportions are adjusted throughout the garment, not simply hemmed shorter. The exact length for each style is listed on the individual product page.
Yes, our garments are designed specifically for curves and are true to UK sizing. We use proprietary Advanced Fit Technology® to ensure our dresses flatter and support without the need to size up.
What sizes do you stock?
We cater exclusively for curves, stocking UK sizes 12 through to 32.
Do you offer exchanges if the size isn't right?
Yes. If your item doesn't fit perfectly, you can exchange it for a different size free of charge. Simply use the prepaid Royal Mail returns label included in your parcel and tick the Exchange box on your returns form.
Do you offer petite sizing?
Yes. Scarlett & Jo has an extensive range of standard fit dresses alongside a recently launched Curvy Petite collection. Petite styles are cut specifically for shorter frames, with proportions adjusted throughout the garment rather than simply hemmed shorter. Not all styles are available in petite — browse the Curvy Petite collection to see the full range.

Beautiful dress. I ordered two dresses and both beautiful, it was hard to choose as both stunning.
The dress is nearly full length on me and I’m 5ft 7”. Very comfortable to wear.
Purchased for my wife. She finds it difficult getting fuller figure sized dresses and evening wear.

How fabulous are your clothes. I ordered a dress on a Monday, it was delivered on Tuesday. The fit is perfect, it feels and looks lovely. I will definitely be ordering again and also recommending to friends and family.
A very pretty dress. Very flattering which being a big girl with assets that are not in line with the rest of me a great fit. Great to show that I have a waist! Bought for an autumn wedding which will be indoors so a black wrap in case it gets a bit chilly and I’m sorted. Lovely colours fits me in all the right places and although a maxi dress it’s floor length. I’m 5’8”. I prefer flat shoes so will either be sandals or ballerina shoe both work and dress will also be great for a cruise evening. One small thing and this is my second dress with S&J the cleavage is quite deep but a stitch or two will resolve that. Would like to see some dresses with not quite such a deep cleavage. Minor. Resolvable. Highly recommend.
I’ve nearly ordered this dress so many times before but have always gone for something in brighter colours. Having lost weight I’ve now got the excuse to treat myself and this dress is gorgeous, it’s a beautiful fit (doesn’t gape at bust) and a perfect length on me 5’8” & wearing flat shoes (it just brushes the top of my shoes). Looking forward to wearing it on a November cruise.
Fits beautifully and looks slimming. Very comfortable. Great stretch waistband system. Full maxi length on me but would have been better on the ankle as I want to do ballroom dance in it. Lovely dress though.
